Gehrke’s Gink®

Gehrke’s Gink® is now 28 years old. It is the first commercially offered, safe, dry fly dressing that floated flies repeatedly. Its’ features and functions are unique in the world of chemistry and fly fishing. Gehrke’s Gink® has a specific gravity of only .77% that of water, which means it’s lighter than water. Gehrke’s Gink® is a liquid emulsifier that permeates deep into the body material of dry flies. It will either coat sythetics or penetrate fur or feather.

Gink® is a light paste that turns to a liquid at skin temperature. Upon coming in contact with cold water it returns to a clear, unseen, invisible gel that keeps water from making your dry flies or streaking streamers, wet. Flies stay dry for the normal useful life of any and all dry flies astream.

Gehrke’s Xink® is now 27 years old. It may well be the most revolutionary invention in Fly-Fishing since the discovery of “the hook.” This product will eliminate the majority of the lead used in nymphs and wet fly patterns throughout the world if only everyone started using it. Gehrke’s Xink® is the only patented Fly Sink in the world. All other products are plagiarized from other industrial sources including the use of common soap. Gehrke’s Xink® is amazing because it is wetter than water without washing off, which was, until invented by George Gehrke, a chemical impossibility.

Yes, Xink® is unique.

Gehrke’s Xink® is simple to use. Before one gets their streamer or wet fly “wet”, simply dress it with a very little amount Gehrke’s Xink®. That wet fly is then condemned to sink forever.
